Davis Polk partner and M&A practice co-head Louis Goldberg was quoted in The American Lawyer on his predictions for the 2022 M&A market. While Louis anticipates another strong year, he is not sure it can match the pace of 2021.

“Those of us who have been around long enough, we have gone through the cycles,” he said. “I have seen different cycles, and I would be surprised if we keeping going at these unbelievable activity levels indefinitely. At some point there will be a pause, especially if interest rates rise.”
