Davis Polk Financial Institutions Group co-head Margaret Tahyar and partner Dan Stipano were recently quoted in American Banker on new OCC leadership. Dan discussed evolving regulatory models regarding fintech and nonbank lenders, noting how the OCC has always been willing to take a fresh look at existing laws and apply them in ways allowing banks to change with the times. Margaret discussed the OCC’s role in advancing the development of fintech policy over the past few years, including some innovative and forward-looking changes.
