Davis Polk partner and Financial Institutions practice head Margaret Tahyar was quoted in Capitol Account discussing the relationship of the independent regulators with President Trump after he signed an executive order giving the White House more control over rulemaking efforts.

Noting that the new heads of all the financial regulators have already paused pending rules and agreed to a hiring freeze, Margaret said, “Trump principals are unlikely to go against Trump policies.”
