Davis Polk partner Pedro Bermeo was quoted in The Deal on recent trends in the SPAC market. In discussing factors driving smaller deal sizes so far in 2022, Pedro noted that this is the result of difficult market conditions and less demand from traditional SPAC investors. He also noted that investors are demanding more concessions, a trend he expects to continue for first-time SPAC sponsors given the broader pressure on the SPAC IPO market.
