Pedro Bermeo quoted in Law360 on SPACs and companies preparing to go public

Davis Polk partner Pedro Bermeo was quoted in Law360 on SPACs and companies preparing to go public. Pedro noted, “A lot of the perceived benefits of a SPAC have gone away given new regulatory developments and market conditions in the PIPE market.” He also explained that companies preparing to go public with a SPAC may be ready to switch to a traditional IPO when markets recover, whereas companies less driven to go public may simply stay private until they are prepared for a traditional offering.
