Davis Polk partner Shane Tintle discussed the 2024 market outlook for initial public offerings with Law360. Shane noted that many companies moving forward on listings are profitable businesses with competitors that already trade publicly, making it easier for investors to make valuation judgments.

“There’s a general confidence that — absent an exogenous event — IPO investors are there,” Shane explained. “If you’ve got a good story and your valuation isn’t ethereal, you’ve got a real chance.”
