Davis Polk counsel Ning Chiu will be among the speakers at the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Staff Roundtable on the Proxy Process. Chiu will be a speaker on the “Shareholder Proposals – Exploring Effective Shareholder Engagement” panel. The panelists will discuss, among other things, their experiences with shareholder proposals and the related benefits and costs involved for the company and shareholders. The panel also will consider the application of the shareholder proposal rule and related guidance.
