Mathys sale to DJO
We are advising the Mathys family on the sale
Davis Polk is advising the Mathys family as sellers in connection with the sale of the Swiss orthopedics company Mathys AG Bettlach to DJO, a subsidiary of Colfax Corporation. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2021, subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Mathys is an international group headquartered in Switzerland which develops, produces and distributes implants for artificial joint replacements and biomaterials for surgical treatments of bone defects with production sites in Switzerland and Germany. DJO, a subsidiary of Colfax, is a leading developer and distributor of high-quality medical devices that provide proven solutions for musculoskeletal health, joint reconstruction, vascular health and pain management. Colfax Corporation is a leading diversified technology company that provides specialty medical technologies and fabrication technology products and services to customers around the world, principally under the DJO and ESAB brands.
