Davis Polk is advising NBCUniversal, a division of Comcast Corporation, on its approximately $3.8 billion acquisition of DreamWorks Animation. DreamWorks Animation will become part of the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, which includes Universal Pictures, Fandango and NBCUniversal Brand Development. The transaction, which is expected to close by the end of 2016, is subject to antitrust approvals in the United States and abroad, as well as the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.
