Dan Stipano quoted in WSJ on effect of regulatory freeze on proposed anti-money laundering rules
Davis Polk partner Dan Stipano was quoted in the Wall Street Journal discussing how a regulatory freeze imposed by the Biden administration could affect regulations proposed by the U.S. Treasury Department unit focused on combating money laundering and terrorist financing. Stipano noted that a freeze would give financial institutions and industry groups more time to study the proposed rules, submit feedback and figure out how to respond.
