Davis Polk partner Emily Roberts discussed the outlook and pipeline for initial public offerings this year with Law360.

“Companies have been on the sidelines, waiting for the right time to test the market,” Emily explained. “With 2024 being better than 2023, a lot of those companies have started to make preparations for a potential IPO.”

“There are a lot of companies that are looking to go out in Q1,” Emily added. “Seeing that reception in Q4 has been important for them. You need a couple of successful deals to open the window.”
