Davis Polk Advises Comcast on Its Acquisition of Icontrol
Davis Polk is advising Comcast Corporation on its acquisition of Icontrol Networks, Inc. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2016 and is subject to customary closing conditions, regulatory approvals as well as the closing of Alarm.com’s acquisition of Icontrol’s “Connect” and “Piper” business units.
Comcast is a global media and technology company with two primary businesses, Comcast Cable and NBCUniversal. Comcast Cable offer a variety of cable services, including broadband, video, voice and home security, over its cable distribution system to residential and business customers. Icontrol creates technology and platforms for connected home security and the Internet of Things, including the “Converge” platform which powers Comcast’s Xfinity Home touch-screen panel and back-end servers.
